The holiday season can be magical, exciting, joyful…and… a relationship minefield. This is true for many of us every year but this year we add in the disconnect of a couple of years of COVID-19 isolation. It is hard enough to stay pleasant and conversational with the people we see on a daily basis! This year many are adding extended family, co-workers, school chums, etc. back into our relationship repertoire as well.
First, let me just say, you got this! You survived two years of pandemic living for Pete’s sake! Two hours with Uncle Charlie or Cousin Monique is child’s play! My personal mantra is “listen more, talk less” for what it’s worth.
Second, be prepared for potential power struggles, intense discussions, and/or drama. This year we must set two extra places at our festive table: one for Venus and one for Pluto as they dance together cheek to cheek in the sign of Capricorn. Venus is the planet in charge of all types of relationships and Pluto manages things like power, obsession, taboo subjects, and underlying truths. Capricorn themes include boundaries, limitations, discipline, and fear. This combination might not make for pleasant dinner table chit-chat.
Although the energy of this Venus/Pluto celestial dance will climax on Christmas day, final resolution of whatever is given voice at this time may not come until their last meet up on March 3, 2022.
For more information on the possible subjects of discussion and disruption, take a look at the Capricorn house in your natal chart. Examples may include 2nd house – money and finances; 6th house – daily routines, work, and health; 9th house – religion, travel, and international news; 11th house – friends, organizations, and causes.
